It’s that one question that everyone wants to know the answer to.

The one thing that we spend so much of our time looking for.

The one thing that is sitting right under our noses every day.

What is the secret to success?

We recently hosted a Superstar Panel at our annual Kick-Off event. On the panel were 4 very different realtors, working very different demographics, with varying levels of experience and expertise. The one thing they had in common was that they were successful award-winning realtors who have found their secret to success.

They each shared their perspective of what makes them successful. Ironically (or not), their secrets were relatively the same. The secret, as it turns out, is not so much of a secret. What were the top 3 picks?

1) Attitude: Having a positive attitude about work, challenges and life overall was a definite must. Finding ways to keep motivated and inspired was also of importance. These successful pro’s grasped early on that your attitude is what shapes your reality. Being optimistic, not letting challenges bring you down, and knowing that when one thing doesn’t work out, there are more opportunities to create- so keep moving forward!

2) Exceptional Customer Service: Making sure their clients are taken care of and educated was of upmost importance. Treating every interaction with care and professionalism, and always having a customer focus was one of the things they attribute to their successful business. After all, real estate is more about relationships than it is selling homes.

3) Prospecting: Consistently and Daily! These professionals love what they do. Although prospecting was not on the top of the list for reasons why they love their job, they know that it is the single most important part of their business. This ties closely into attitude. No matter what they feel, prospecting is a must. Continually seeking out business opportunities is a priority and rain or shine, there is not a day that is missed when it comes to prospecting.

The secret is out! The question is (and always will be) What are you going to do with it?
